Conservatism is on the move.

All over the country conservatism is on the move. On the eve of an election that does not have many big races is turning out to be a very big day. The three big battle grounds this November 3rd are in New Jersey, Virginia, and an upstate New York Congressional district. In all three of these races the poll numbers are showing that conservatives are doing very well and could sweep the day.

Conservatives are standing up to big government and sending a powerful statement to the statist in Washington, Trenton, and Richmond. This should come as no surprise because we have seen the American people defeat the statist’s health care reform bill over the summer. In Virginia the Republicans look to be able to sweep the ballot that will consist of the races for Governor, lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General. They will also pick up seats in the state house as well. Virginia which went for Obama in 2008 is boldly rejecting his polices in 2009.

If New Jersey, which is solidly blue state and perhaps one of the most liberal in the country, elects Chris Christie (R) it would be a huge blow to the Obama White House. Christie has been polling ahead of the incumbent Jon Corzine (D) in most polls since the beginning of the race. If can pull out a win and Republicans can manage to pick up some Assembly seats it would be a major win for the people of New Jersey. New Jersey has been suffocating under big-government policies for many years. Christie would be able to begin to resuscitate the state that has been blue from a lack of oxygen for way to long.

The other important race is for the heart and soul of the Republican Party in NY-23. Conservatism has had the biggest impact in that race. The race started out with a liberal Democrat, a Liberal Republican, and a third party Conservative candidate. This race has been labeled as the first race of the tea parties. Conservatives from all over the country have thrown their support behind the Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman. The support Hoffman has had has now caused the Republican Dede Scozzafava to drop out. It is looking now like Hoffman has a very good chance to win.

Tuesday can be a very good day for conservatives all over the country. I urge everyone to do what you can to help get these candidates elected. In New Jersey be sure to vote Christie/Guadagno and NO on the ballot question one. 2 days until we take back New Jersey!

Thoughts on the Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace prize was once a well respected and prestigious award. However over the past few years the prize has become political which had devalued the award. The recent awarding of the award To President Obama is evidence of the new politically partisan nature of the award.

My first grievance against the President receiving the award is that he is was not qualified to do so. President Obama is only 48 years old while he may turn out to be the greatest champion of peace in the word is yet to be determined. However as of now he has done nothing to receive the award. I don’t know about you but I feel uncomfortable at least just yet placing Obama in the same category with Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King JR, and the International Federation of the Red Cross to name a few previous Nobel Laureates. I believe there have been many people tremendously more qualified then President Obama such as Pope John Paul II who was pope for 27 years, helped bring down communism, and is on his way to Beatification. As wells as Gandhi and Ronald Reagan who won the cold war and liberated millions from the horrors of communism trapped behind the iron curtain.

One must only conclude that to give someone a Nobel Prize for a few campaign speeches and 12 days in office must be political. I believe this was an attempt by the socialist in Europe to encourage Obama to continue his plan of “change we can believe in.” I hope for the countries sake that Mr. Obama will not be constrained by this award which would weaken his ability to protect this country in effect making it weaker. I would have preferred the President to have turned down the award at least until he was out of office.

Finally Obama receiving the award shed light on a continuing problem in this country the Obama drone. Any rational thinking person would be able to acknowledge that the president did not deserve the award at this time. Unfortunately the Obama drones were out in force defending the President and the Nobel Prize. They gave a wide variety of excuse from he is not Bush so everyone like us to he has done great things. These mindless Obama drones have not gone away since the election and are likely here to stay. For conservatives to take back the country they must be willing to talk to anyone with an open mind and save the savable.

Today President Obama tried to convince the American people to adopt his version of the health care reform bill through his friends the main stream media. The president appeared on five shows on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and even the Spanish language channel Univision. The only real debate on any of these shows came on “NBC’s “Meet the Press”. Mr. Obama appeared as the first guest in favor of the Liberal version of health care reform. After presidents Obama’s appearance House minority leader John Boehner (R.-Ohio) declared the health care bill Obama is pushing through Congress as dead.

I feel Congressman Boehner is correct. Boehner said “There’s been no bipartisan conversation on Capitol Hill about health care,” if the Democrats cannot even get a few liberal Republicans on board there plan will indeed die. This partisan sentiment is not only true on Capitol Hill but throughout the nation. The approval ratings of the president and the Democrats health care bill are continuing to fade. The American people are taking on the Liberal’s Big Government health care bill and scoring amazing victories which will undoubtedly produce another expensive failed government program that will add to the nation’s ever growing deficit.

The American people know something is not right about the Democrat’s and Obama’s health care reform and are refusing to roll over. The American people are starting to wake up and educate themselves about the effects of massive government on not only on their wallets but there liberty and freedom as well. As Americans we must continue to unite against massive government expansion on every level of government and continue to remind those in Washington, Trenton, or any other legislative area that the politicians work for us.
