Hot on the tail of an Obama Administration scandal supposedly caused by a lack of scrutiny, Obama admitted that he had not been following the unraveling ACORN controversy “that closely.” When ABC’s George Stephanopoulos pressed Obama on Saturday if he agreed with the Senate and the House voting to strip ACORN of its federal funds, the President replied:

“Frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely. I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.”

Wait a sec. ACORN has gotten approximately $50 million from the federal government since the mid-nineties, and was eligible to get billions from the stimulus. Isn’t this the Obama that promised us “I want to go through the federal budget line by line, page by page” back in the debates?

Shouldn’t he care, then, if his hallmark stimulus package was going to fund an organization that is now probably going to be up for a RICO corruption investigation for assisting tax fraud, child prostitution, and sex trafficking? Hey, why not appoint an Accountability Czar to keep track of it!

Obama goes on to say that what happened in the videos “was in appropriate and deserves to be investigated,” but that “this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to,” and is relieved when the subject is changed to the war in Afghanistan.

Michelle Malkin brings in three big questions about all of this, of which she calls “Obama playing dumb”:

How Team Obama hid its $800,000 campaign payment to ACORN through front group “Citizen Services, Inc.”

How Team Obama shared donor lists with the president’s old employer, ACORN affiliate Project Vote, a 501(c)(3) organization, which is prohibited from engaging in political activity (Mr. President, meet Anita MonCrief)

And how Project Vote and hundreds of myriad entities intermingled non-profit, tax-exempt funding with the national ACORN flagship’s political operations — a buried story Obama would know about if he read NYTimes reporter Stephanie Strom’s report last October before she was muzzled as Election Day drew near.

Spicy!

The past few months have been littered with charges of racism this, and racism that. Newsweek gave us the gem, “Is Your Baby A Racist?” (story) and media outlets like MSNBC, The New York Times and others have told us that Tea Party protesters (or in their derogatory words, ‘teabaggers’) are all racists who hate Obama not because he is a socialist, but because he is black.

Let me be perfectly clear, Obama is a socialist. I dislike him because he is a socialist. I would dislike him just as much if he were a white socialist.

How could I possibly disagree with the chosen one? Simple. I am a conservative, I believe in free market economics, I believe in liberty and I believe that the money in my wallet is mine, and only mine, it is not yours.

I have been to tea parties, I have held up signs, I have voiced my displeasure with the President, but these liberal media lapdogs don’t report on the people like me (it takes one hour in a Writing for the Media to understand that it does not sell papers when you write about happy things), they report on the fringe lunatics who carry posters that depict a racist anger towards the President.

What the media refuses to tell you is that there are reasonable white people in this country who disagree with the chosen one. It’s possible to disagree with a minority person based on something other than their race. It is possible to disagree with a democrat without being partisan, its called being smart.

People like Rev. Al Sharpton have been telling us for years that every time that a white man and an African-American man disagree it is because the white man is a racist. These people make me sick. The reason we have racism in the country today is because of people like him who will say or do anything to perpetuate the belief that the white man is keeping the minorities down. I have to be completely honest when I say this, the white man doesn’t care anymore. If people like Al Sharpton would close their mouths and stop perpetuating stereotypes this world would be a better place.

Instead, we live in a world where African-American students beat up a white child on the bus while others cheer and the bus driver does nothing, and yet the students are not dealt with (Video). We live in a world where organizations like ACORN run out of control with our tax dollars. Heaven forbid you mention cutting funds to this organization which has time after time been caught in illegal activities by hidden cameras (Video). The first mention of cutting funds for this disgusting organization brings the ire of the people because they are helping underprivileged minorities exercise their rights to vote, forget the illegal activities altogether.

So this message is for those who pray for a post-racial society. It will never happen as long as the people who cry for it the loudest, also perpetuate the problem the most. By dividing races against each other for your own personal and political gain you effectively prevent the goal you claim to seek. The reasonable observer, however, knows that your claim to desire a post racial America is a lie, because you stand too much to gain from this racially divided nation. As long as the Democrats perpetuate this belief that Republicans hate the poor and the minorities, they win. The day that minorities realize it was the welfare and over-regulation fought for by Democrats which kept them down is the day the Democratic party falls forever. Unfortunately, unless we find a way to break through this lie they have been told for decades, that day is a long time away.
